Proposal · 29 July 2026
One quiet, consistent design that carries the whole range, ready in time for October.
IWhat we are proposing
Your brief asks for a master template that carries the whole range, where only the product name, the collection, the colour, the illustration and the wording change from one product to the next. We think that instinct is exactly right, and everything in this proposal is built around it.
Designing it as one system means the range sits together comfortably on a shelf or a market table, and it means every product you add in future takes a small fraction of the time and cost of the first one.
Your brief also leaves a couple of things open. Some of the wording on the teas and the yoni steam falls under South African labelling rules and needs a careful hand. And the QR code you have made space for does not yet have anywhere to point. We have included both here, so that neither turns into a separate piece of work later on.
Nothing here is fixed. If any part of it does not feel like House of Bliss, we would rather hear that early and adjust.
This proposal is written so that it can be read on its own by a funder. Every item is priced separately, and any item can be approved or set aside without the rest needing to be quoted again.
IIThe system
The items marked in sage stay the same on all nine products. The items marked in gold are the ones that move. Deciding carefully where that line falls is most of the work, and everything else follows from it.
IIIThe illustration style
The plates below show the drawing style we would like to use across the range. Fine botanical line work in the manner of an old herbarium sheet, each plant rendered with the same weight of line and the same restraint, so that nine very different products still read as one family. Each product in the range receives its own plate.
Drawn as vector line work, which means each plate stays crisp whether it appears on a 40 mm soap wrap or a pull-up banner at a market.
IVThe template at work
Every label below comes out of a single file. The measurements, the type sizes and the position of each element never move. Only the colour, the plant and the words change. Choose a collection to see it.
What these show is the structure rather than the finished artwork. The proportions, the order of information and the way a collection reads at a glance are all real and would carry through. The finished labels are drawn to your actual container sizes and developed together with you, so please read these as a starting conversation rather than a design waiting for approval.
Sage & soft gold
Royal purple & ivory
Warm gold & sand
Your brief mentions Restore, Bloom and Rooted as a possibility and we would like to make them real. Grouping the range gives someone standing at your table an easy way in, it settles the colour question for every product at once, and it gives you three gift sets that can be sold together at a kinder margin than the products sold one by one. The groupings above are a starting point and they are yours to move.
VA sample of the work
One of these comes with every product. It sets out what has to appear on the label, which wording sits comfortably within the rules, and where it would be wise to get an independent opinion before printing. Here is a real worked example so you can see the shape of it.

VIScope and cost
The work comes to 89 hours in total. Every item below shows the hours it takes, charged at R650 an hour excluding VAT. The hours multiplied by the rate give the price of that item, and the items added together give the total. Tick or untick the optional items to see the total change.

Our Origin Festival opens on 16 October, and product needs to be labelled and packed by 3 October. Working backwards from there, this is the schedule that reaches it comfortably.
VIIIHow we would work together
A third when you accept, a third when you approve the designs, and a third when the final files are handed over. Each stage is something a funder can see and verify.
All the final approved artwork and print files made for House of Bliss are yours, permanently and exclusively, including the freedom to hand them to another designer at any time. We keep the underlying methods and working templates that are not specific to House of Bliss.
Two rounds of revision are included at each approval stage. Anything changed after written approval is quoted separately at R650 an hour.
We point out wording that carries risk and set out what each label needs to contain. We do not give legal or regulatory advice and we cannot certify that a label complies. The ingredient lists, directions, warnings and all product claims come from House of Bliss.
